The Ligurian entroterra (i.e., inland area) is an underrated treasure trove of routes, scenic settings, borghi, flavours and traditions, best embodied by the iconic Alta Via dei Monti Liguri. This trail system runs through the whole regional arch from the French border to Tuscany: more than 400 km providing an array of active sports opportunities (hiking, mountain biking, horse riding…) in a variety of habitats, from Mediterranean vegetation to Alpine environments.

The "Liguria for the Connoisseur Traveller" initiative seeks to uncover these hidden treasures through a comprehensive toolkit for tourism professionals.

The project was conceived by Umberto Curti, a renowned educator and expert in Ligurian culture and traditions, and Luisa Puppo, an experienced lecturer in cross-cultural communication and food tourism; it was developed in partnership with F.IRE. Società Benefit and training institution with more than 20 years of experience.
