This month's Agenda offers plenty of environmental, urban and cross-cultural "food for thought". Furthermore, the Italian Chamber of Deputies has recently approved the bill that includes the protection of the environment and biodiversity in the Constitution.

#savethedate reminders include Friday 27 May, at 4.30 p.m., when the Polo Museale in Genoa Nervi will host the kick-off event of the " I mille volti della biodiversità. Natura, architetture, ecosistemi culturali” (1,000 facets of biodiversity. Nature, architecture, cultural ecosystems) project.

 Organized by the Municipality of Genoa, in synergy with the "Genova World" cultural association and with the support of Coop Liguria and IREN, the event focuses on a value that is as "topical" and at risk as ever - biodiversity and its several different meanings, themes, and professions.

Treasuring the intellectual and scientific legacy of Thomas Lovejoy, the world-famous biologist and ecologist, the initiative will take place on three dates (distributed between spring and autumn), each with three lecturers.

The programme on 27 May includes Francesca Serrati (responsabile Musei di Nervi e Villa Croce, "Cultural biodiversity: The Portofino Mount through the eyes of artists"), Daniele Buschiazzo (president of the Beigua Park Authority and mayor of Sassello, "Sustainability: everyday best practice"), and Umberto Curti (lecturer and essayist, "Green journeys. Biodiversity and diachrony from the New World to Europe"). Luisa Puppo, President of "Genova World" and since 2018 Ambassador of Genova in the World will moderate the event. The Comune di Genova will also produce specific video content, aimed at a variety of audiences with an eye on young people.
