Destination DOP, Slow Fish 2019 investigates PDOs tourism prospects

Which is the role of food excellences in the development of tourism and culture?
This is one of the themes addressed by the ninth edition of Slow Fish - the international event dedicated to sustainable seafood and marine ecosystems (Genoa, May 9 - 12) on occasion of  "Destinazione DOP”, an event dedicated to the links between experiential tourism and Protected Designation of Origin productions
(browse link https://slowfish.slowfood.it/event/destinazione-dop/).

Liguria, a cradle of tourism innovation
Liguria boasts two pilot tourism projects at national level which focus on the very concept of PDO as a guarantee of authenticity, uniqueness and experientiality.
Organized by Ligucibario on account of the Protection Consortia PDO Riviera Ligure EVO and Basilico Genovese PDO in collaboration with the "Assaggia la Liguria" initiative, the two sessions (Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 at 15.00) will be led by food&wine historian and marketing specialist Umberto Curti. English edition available - I will lead it myself.
See you in the Porto Antico di Genova, “piazzetta la mia Liguria”.
Free admission
